Earning cash back on item deals

  1. Activate the iteam deal by clicking the "+" or "Activate" button on the deal. Item deals must be activated prior to purchase to earn cash back.

  2. Earn by shopping in-store or online:

    1. For in-store purchases, upload a receipt with the receipt upload button in the offers tab (Click the tab with the "Price tag" icon, then the "Add receipt button").

    2. Link your store account. We'll review your linked store account throughout the week for any new transactions. Unlike for SNAP cash back, you do not have to claim any item offer deals for linked store accounts.

  3. Redeem as many item deals as you'd like. There is no dollar limit to how much you can earn from item deals! There is only a limit on the number of redemptions per receipt.

Why did I earn cash back on only one of the same items purchased when the deal said it could be used multiple times?

Multi-redemption deals are limited to one of the same item per receipt. For example, if there is an offer of "$1 back on Nestlé Hot Pockets" that can be used three times, each redemption must occur on a separate shopping trip or receipt.

For example, you could not purchase three Nestlé Hot Pockets on the same shopping trip and earn $3 in cash back—you'd only earn $1 per redemption.

I uploaded a receipt or linked my store account, and I am missing an item offer redemption

If you've uploaded a receipt or linked your store account and are missing an item offer redemption, the fastest way to resolve it is to report it in the app via the missing deal screen (Click the "Person" icon in the top right of any tab, then "I'm missing cash back" and then follow the in-app steps for reporting a missing item deal).

Earning on in-store SNAP purchases

  1. Review the in-store SNAP offers in the Benny app. We only accept SNAP receipts from the stores listed. Unlike item deals, you do not need to activate any offer to earn cash back on SNAP.

  2. Upload a receipt with the receipt upload button in the offers tab (Click the tab with the "Price tag" icon, then the "Get cash back button").

  3. You'll have each month to submit as many eligible receipts as you'd like. We require that each uploaded receipt show a transaction date of that month.

Earning from online SNAP purchases

  1. Review the online SNAP offers in the Benny app. We only accept purchases from linked store accounts. If there is no option to link the store account, it is unfortunately not yet available for an online offer. Unlike item deals, you do not need to activate any offer to earn cash back on SNAP.

  2. Link your store account. We'll review your linked store throughout the week for any new transactions.

  3. Claim your cash back from the cash back screen. You access the cash back screen from the home tab (Click the tab with the "home" icon) under "Your balances", then click "Benny rewards". Cash back is claimable 2-3 days after your online order is delivered or picked up. Not a worry, though, as you'll have the entire calendar month to claim a transaction that occurred in that month.

Why did I earn less than 1% back on my SNAP purchase?

You can earn up to $1 in cash back per SNAP receipt, and a total of $10 per calendar month. For example, if you spent $500 with SNAP funds on a single receipt, the maximum cash back would be $1, even though 1% of $500 is $5.

Is linking my EBT card required to earn cash back?

Linking your EBT card is not required to earn cash back. Linking your EBT card is used only to display your available balance and transaction history.

I did not receive cash back for a transaction from my linked EBT card

To earn cash back for SNAP transactions, you must upload a receipt or link your store account. Linking your EBT card is unrelated to earning, as a linked EBT account does not provide information on what you purchased. Only a receipt or a linked store account shows the items you purchased.

I uploaded a receipt or linked my store account, and SNAP cash back is missing or incorrect.

If you've uploaded a receipt or linked your store account and the SNAP cashback amount is missing or incorrect, please reach out to support, and we'll correct the issue 😄.

Where can I see my Benny cash back balance

You can see your Benny cash back balance on the home tab (Click the tab with the "home" icon) under "Your balances", then "Benny rewards".

Click "Benny rewards" to see all your cash back activity and claim any unclaimed cash back from linked store accounts.

How can I cash out?

You can cash out via PayPal or Venmo once you reach $10 of cash back. Your account must have been created at least 10 days ago to cash out. For security reasons, we cannot make any exceptions to this rule.

How can I see where I sent my funds?

You can see which PayPal email or Venmo username you sent your funds to by going to the cash back activity screen and clicking on the cash out activity item in the list.

I sent my funds to the wrong PayPal or Venmo account

If you sent your funds to the wrong PayPal or Venmo account and they remain unclaimed, they will be automatically returned to your Benny account after 30 days.

Once funds are sent, they are managed by PayPal or Venmo, so we are unable to cancel the transfer. You must wait 30 days.

If funds are sent to the wrong PayPal or Venmo account and they are claimed, there is nothing that Benny can do. Please feel free to contact the owner of the incorrect account to request the funds back 🙏.
